Musiksommer im Serenadenhof
Bandonegro with Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra.
“The Spirit of Tango”- concert of the most outstanding works of tango music in symphonic arrangements.
Ruben Silva – conductor
In March of this year, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra celebrated the 102nd birthday of the tango master Astor Piazzolla with the musicians Norbert Nagel and Michael Dolak. In the 5th and 6th serenade they go one step further: not only hot tango rhythms can be heard, but also combinations of tango with well-known hits by Sting. For this, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra has invited the internationally acclaimed Polish tango ensemble Bandonegro. Michal Glówka on bandoneon and accordion, Jakub Czechowicz on violin, Marek Dolecki on piano and Marcin Antkowiak on double bass. These four young gentlemen have won countless competitions for years, have been to festivals and the stages of the most renowned concert halls, music theaters and philharmonic orchestras since the beginning of their careers and are considered the most fascinating interpreters of the genre. Now they are bringing the tango to the Serenadenhof with their energetic style. Bandonegro are known for traditional Argentine tango and tango nuevo, but they also create their own compositions, incorporating elements of jazz and classical music. Our musicians, under the direction of conductor Ruben Silva, provide the orchestral tango rhythms. Look forward to a true tango firework!
